"Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart". (PSALM 37:4)
Yesterday, we woke up shocked to see our baby's right eye almost swelling due to an irritation caused by an insect bite in his right cheek. It was so red. I panicked. Please understand; I am a mother.
It was only like 6:20 in the morning. I called our Pedia and emailed him pictures of Zach's right eye. And we decided to have an early check-up by special appointment. My husband had to take an emergency leave.
I kept praying and tried not to worry as I know everything will be fine. I didn't want my baby to take antibiotics, just in case. So I kept claiming healing for Zach and even text-blasted my spiritual family to cover him in prayers.
I can say that I have known God to be a great Healer ever since I was young in the faith. He has proven me so many times that He can take away illnesses in surprising ways. He never failed me when in comes to health. He took away my mother's cyst years ago. When I thought I won't live longer, He showed how wrong I was. He restored my father's health after an accident. I can tell many more stories of how great my Yahweh Ropheh is.
Yesterday, God proved me once again that He is in control And that MIRACLES happen in a split second.
Before we arrived in Cardinal Santos Hospital for Zach's check-up, I noticed that his right eye is not swelling anymore. There was just one very big insect bite under it. I was so relieved and joyful. I felt ashamed of worrying. My baby is healed by the blood and wounds of Jesus even before I prayed for it. It is a done deal! Praise God. But the blessings did not end there. We received so much favors from God. It's too many to even mention.
Our God is a miracle-working-in-a-split-second-God!
I can say that my faith in God is growing higher each day. I'm boasting in the Lord; it's not through my own efforts. Why do I delight myself in the Lord? Is it because I want to get the desires of my heart? I say no! Now I can honestly say that I delight myself in the Lord because I love Him so much Who loved me first. I know that even when I am unfaithful He will give me my heart's desires. But it's different when I soak myself into His presence because I have a revelation of how wide, how deep, and how high His love is for me.
Praise God for answered prayers and favors and blessing and blessings of healing. But praise God even more for Jesus Himself - our reward and our gift.
