- So I can always be in an attitude of thanksgiving. It's good and special to make this a lifestyle. I want to remember God not only when I need Him to rescue me. I want to remember Him more when He blesses me. James 5:13 says "Is anyone of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise".
- So I won't forget that there's nothing I have to do in order to obtain His grace. The blessings and answered prayers I see in my notebook are not achieved through my good works. I don't even have to do anything and God will continue to bless me.
- So that God will be the highlight of my everyday life. I want Him to have the glory. Sometimes we have the tendency to glorify ourselves when something great happen, neglecting the One true faithful Giver. It happens to me too.
- So I can show my son (my next generation) of how good and faithful God is even when I am not. I want my son Zachary to grow up knowing that he is filled with the goodness of the Lord. I want him to always be conscious of His blessings so that when there are tough times, he will not focus on the toughness of the situation but praise God instead.
Count your blessings. You'll be surprised to know that in one adversity there's a thousand blessings to be thankful for. Now is everyday. Now is every opportunity to be grateful. Now is the time for celebration.
